There will be blood II(2016)
Ceramics, copper 250cm X 25cm X 10 cm
The work was created through workshops with refugees from the Middle East and Africa during the time of my residency in Neumünster in northern Germany.
The work consists of a 12 casts of hands of refugees and copper pipe. Hands are coming from the wall, all the authentic information and identity of persons are there on their fingerprints. It seems like they are in the wall. Their hands are in a gesture as they are looking for help, but at the same time offering something. What we offer is the story of the struggle for resources, which has been told in the Oscar winning film There Will Be Blood from 2007.
